Founded in 2010 by Siobhan Bredin, Cambridge Vintage Mystery Theatre produces original mystery dramas in the style of classic radio plays of the 1930's and 1940's. In these staged readings, actors read from the script as though they and the audience are in a radio studio, as in the golden days of radio. Period music and live sound effects heighten the drama and mystery of the performance. Plays include:
- The Perplexing Public Paintings Puzzle (2010), about creation and destruction of public art during The Great Depression
- The Sinister Seance Swindle Scenario (2009), about a fraudulent medium (or was she?) in 1919 Boston
- The Missing Mayan Manuscript Mystery (2007), about the theft of a rare artifact from an archeological dig in 1920's Mexico
- The Bletchley Park Enigma Caper (2005), about code breaking in England during World War II
